Prof. Alan W. Brown

Alan W. Brown is Professor in Digital Economy at the University of Exeter Business School, where he co-leads the Initiative in Digital Economy at Exeter (INDEX). He is AI Director at Digital Leaders, leading the AI100 UK recognition programme, and a Former Fellow of the Alan Turing Institute.

With over 30 years of experience in digital transformation—including roles as IBM Distinguished Engineer and European CTO—Alan brings a practitioner's perspective to AI strategy and implementation challenges. His work focuses on helping senior leaders navigate the gap between AI experimentation and enterprise-scale transformation.
